El Baphomet i la taula esmaragda [Baphomet and the Emerald Table] is a historical adventure story which entangles a cast of colourful characters including General Ramon Cabrera, Aleister Crowley, William Butler Years, Robert Browning, Erich Ludendorff and Paracelsus. Alongside them the character of Ton Domènech is drawn at first hand into the investigation of the strange death of an old fellow-student, at the same time discovering the rumours of alchemy that hung around his ancestors. Templars, Carlists, Freemasons, Jesuits... all of them seek to possess this research, an ark which slumbers beneath the enigmatic verses of the emerald table. The author succeeds in weaving a story about history itself. Changes of pace, contrasts, humanistic reflections, mystery, drama, humour, suspense and cynicism go together to make up an unputdownable novel.
